Notes

'Gipsy Queen' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Gipsy Queen') is a bulb for borders, containers, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays about 12 inches tall and blooms in winter and spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It is also drought tolerant.
