Notes

'Gnu Again' iris (Iris germanica 'Gnu Again') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant flowers are purple with pure white speckles. They open in late spring and again from early to late summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Shirley Temple peony, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Stargazer lily, and Miss Kim lilac.
