Notes

'Gray Gleam' Rocky mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Gray Gleam') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly in a columnar shape, stays evergreen, and tolerates drought and salt. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Birds and butterflies visit it.

Pairs well with Eastern white pine, Witch hazel, and Kentucky bluegrass.
