Notes

'Medora' Rocky mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Medora') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly in a tall, narrow column and stays evergreen all year. Birds and butterflies visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Compass plant, Sedge, and Staghorn sumac.
