Notes

'Moonglow' Rocky mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Moonglow') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly in a columnar shape, stays evergreen all year, and tolerates drought and salt. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Birds and butterflies visit it.

Pairs well with Compass plant, Kentucky bluegrass, and Staghorn sumac.
