Notes
'Blue Heaven' Rocky mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Blue Heaven') is a tree for hedges, privacy screens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. This columnar evergreen grows slowly, tolerates drought and salt, and draws birds and butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Yarrow, Lady's mantle, and Silver feather grass.
