Notes

Greek thimbleweed (Anemone blanda) is a bulb for rock gardens, woodland gardens, naturalized drifts, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Blue, pink, purple, or white flowers open from early to late spring. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and the low plants spread quickly.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Japanese forest grass, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
