Notes

'Scythinica' Greek thimbleweed (Anemone blanda 'Scythinica') is a bulb for rock gardens, woodland gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The flowers are white inside and sapphire-blue outside. It blooms in early to late spring, a little later than others of its kind, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Japanese forest grass, and Green and gold.
