Notes

'Gypsy Romance' iris (Iris 'Gypsy Romance') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit the flowers. It is drought tolerant once settled in. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Yellow Queen golden columbine, Lupine, Mont Blanc ornamental onion, and Prinzessin Victoria Louise oriental poppy.
