Notes

Hardy amaryllis (Hippeastrum johnsonii) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It bears fragrant flowers in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It is also drought tolerant, so it needs little fuss once settled.

Pairs well with Anemone, Society garlic, and Snapdragon.
