Notes

'Henry Wilde Sunflower' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Henry Wilde Sunflower') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants reach 60 to 84 inches tall, so give them a spot at the back.

Pairs well with First Knight fountain grass, Purple Prince zinnia, and Flamingo Feather celosia.
