Notes

'Ideal' iris (Iris 'Ideal') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The violet-blue flowers have a yellow blotch on the falls. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. C.N. Koomen bred it.

Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Feather reed grass, and Japanese forest grass.
