Notes

'JN2' Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis 'JN2') is a multi-stemmed tree for borders, specimen planting, woodland gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Rosy pink flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows at a moderate rate to 8 to 12 feet tall and wide.

Pairs well with New Jersey tea, Christmas fern, Butterfly milkweed, and Switchgrass.
