Notes

'Jonafree' apple (Malus domestica 'Jonafree') is a tree for specimen planting, food gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White, fragrant flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. PRI bred it in 1965, and the fruit is picked late in the season.

Pairs well with High-bush blueberry, Perennial candytuft, Feather reed grass, and Blue mistflower.
