Notes

'Julia Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Julia Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant flowers open cherry-red to orange-red and age to yellow. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Purple cranesbill, Lady's mantle, Globemaster allium, and White sagebrush.
