Notes

'King Mauve' iris (Iris 'King Mauve') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are violet and the falls are greyish blue with a yellow blotch. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It blooms in spring and again in summer, so you get flowers for cutting more than once.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Feather reed grass, and Green and gold.
