Notes

'Lucia' iris (Iris 'Lucia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The pointed flowers are a uniform ruby red with a steel blue beard. Cut a few stems to bring that color indoors. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Feather reed grass, and Nelly Moser clematis.
