Notes

'Miss America' hosta (Hosta 'Miss America') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It tolerates salt and has fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Give it room, since it can spread 47 to 59 inches.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Bigleaf hydrangea, and Astilbe.
