Notes
'Monstrosa' wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa 'Monstrosa') is a bulb for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade. The curious semi-double flowers mix white, green, and blue, and they open in early to late spring above finely cut foliage. Plant it beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, because it goes dormant in mid to late summer.
Pairs well with Liverleaf, Snowdrop, and Western sword fern.
