Notes
'Pinball Wizard' ornamental onion (Allium 'Pinball Wizard') is a bulb for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its lavender purple spheres are 6 to 8 inches wide, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant it in groups of 3, 5, 7, or more.
Pairs well with Picos Blue Mediterranean sea holly, Gladiolus, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
