Notes

'Pink Derby' peony (Paeonia 'Pink Derby') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1966, and the fragrant deep pink blooms draw bees and butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Give it room to reach 24 to 36 inches wide.

Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Lady's mantle, Globemaster allium, and Purple cranesbill.
