Notes

'Princess Diana' texensis group (Clematis texensis 'Princess Diana') is a vine for cottage gardens, rock gardens, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deep pink, tulip-shaped flowers with paler pink edges face outward from July to October. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Silky seed heads decorate the vine in autumn and winter.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Obsidian coral bells, and Hinoki cypress.
