Notes
'ProCut Orange Excel' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'ProCut Orange Excel') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its orange blooms draw butterflies, bees, and birds, and the plant is drought tolerant. Deer tend to browse other plants first. You can cut the stems for bouquets.
Pairs well with Diablo cosmos, Profusion Double Hot Cherry zinnia, Cerise Queen yarrow, and Red fescue.
