Notes

'Purple Champion' iris (Iris 'Purple Champion') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The standards are hyacinth blue, and the falls are wisteria blue with an Indian yellow blotch. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It blooms in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Feather reed grass, and Casa Blanca lily.
