Notes

'Rare Treat' iris (Iris 'Rare Treat') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in early to late spring and early to late summer. Butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with The Chatelaine lupine, Prinzessin Victoria Louise oriental poppy, Ice Follies daffodil, and Limelight Prime panicle hydrangea.
