Notes

'Rosea' Japanese wisteria (Wisteria floribunda 'Rosea') is a vine for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Pink-tipped purple flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and they are fragrant. It climbs fast and attracts butterflies, so give it a strong support.

Pairs well with Clematis, Greig's tulip, and Grape hyacinth.
