Notes

'Royal Purple' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Royal Purple') is an herb for borders, containers, hedges, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Fragrant purple flowers open from early to late summer and attract butterflies and bees. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant through the year. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Yarrow, Lavender cotton, and Cosmos.
