Notes

'Royal Storm' iris (Iris 'Royal Storm') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and bears fragrant flowers in spring and again in summer. Butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Columbine, Album nettle-leaved mullein, and Yellow Queen golden columbine.
