Notes

'Scintillation' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Scintillation') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Pink flowers open in early to late spring and are fragrant. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The evergreen leaves keep color all year, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Fringed bleeding heart, Paperbark maple, and Coralbells.
