Notes

Southwestern white pine (Pinus strobiformis) is a tree for low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Its blue-green needles are 2 to 5 inches long, and slender branches form a broad, rounded crown. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Wildlife eat the large seeds.

Pairs well with Feather reed grass, Jersey tea, and Lemon thyme.
