Notes

'Spartacus' hosta (Hosta 'Spartacus') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, ground cover, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 35 to 47 inches, so give it room. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its blooms are fragrant and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Bigleaf hydrangea, and Astilbe.
