Notes

'Spirit of Memphis' iris (Iris 'Spirit of Memphis') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and bears yellow blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It is also drought tolerant, so it handles dry spells once settled.

Pairs well with Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea, Paul Scherer tulip, and Lilac.
