Notes

'Steve Varner' iris (Iris 'Steve Varner') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. Its deep blue flowers have light blue edges and bloom in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Plants reach 30 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Cinnamon fern, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
