Tanzanite Twinkle iris

Notes

'Tanzanite Twinkle' iris (Iris 'Tanzanite Twinkle') is a perennial with fragrant purple spring flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The icy white petals have broad royal purple edges with hints of blue. Rabbits tend to nibble other plants first. Divide the clumps every two to three years just after blooming, and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level.

Pairs well with Dr. Alexander Fleming peony, Sedge, and Spotted dead nettle.
