Notes

'Triomphe de Paris' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Triomphe de Paris') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms open white with lilac shading and a light yellow center, then age to pink. Modeste Guérin bred it, and you can cut the flowers for a vase.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Christmas fern, Grape hyacinth, and Bellwort.
