Notes

Tuolumne dog tooth violet (Erythronium tuolumnense) is a bulb for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Yellow flowers open from early to late spring and sometimes into early summer. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees visit the blooms, and the leaves grow up to about 14 inches long.

Pairs well with Fringed bleeding heart, Snowdrop, and Lenten rose.
