Notes

'Kondo' tuolumne dog tooth violet (Erythronium tuolumnense 'Kondo') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, rock gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring above brown and copper tinted green leaves. Bees visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Snowdrop, Fringed bleeding heart, and Western sword fern.
