Notes

'Turkish Delight' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'Turkish Delight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a drought tolerant clump that blooms in spring and again in summer, and bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give the clump room to spread.

Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Lady's mantle, Purple Sensation ornamental onion, and Lupine.
