Notes

Twinberry (Lonicera involucrata) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Yellow flowers fade to reddish-purple and are followed by black berries, and hummingbirds, butterflies, and birds visit the plant. It sits low on the menu for deer. The shiny green leaves tolerate air pollution.

Pairs well with Weigela, Hicksii yew, Francee hosta, and Jacob’s ladder.
