Notes

'Universe' ornamental onion (Allium 'Universe') is a bulb for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is typically grown as an annual. It is one of the more cold-hardy crops and can keep growing through light freezes with some winter protection. This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Bees visit the silvery purple flower spheres, which can reach 8 inches across on stems up to 3 feet tall.

Pairs well with Sorbet peony, Thrift, and Sage.
