Notes

'Venita Faye' iris (Iris 'Venita Faye') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit the flowers. The stems reach about 35 to 47 inches tall, so it works well at the back of a bed. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Dusky Challenger iris, Meadow rue, Hardy geranium, and Hidcote lavender.
