Notes

'Youngstown' creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Youngstown') is a shrub for rock gardens and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. It stays under 12 inches tall and can spread up to 72 inches wide. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant all year, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Poppy mallow, Blue grama, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
