Notes

'Blatant' iris (Iris 'Blatant') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its yellow standards and red falls open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. The fragrant blooms reach 30 to 36 inches tall and tolerate drought.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Artist tulip, and Ernest Markham clematis.
