Notes

'Bogota' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Bogota') is a bulb for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It belongs to the spider group, with slender petals in deep red, coral, and white. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Grow it in a pot outside in summer, then bring it indoors after autumn frosts hit the foliage.

Pairs well with Chocolate cosmos, Mondo grass, and Purple sage.
