Notes
'Cinque Terre' iris (Iris 'Cinque Terre') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and fragrant garden beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Burgundy flowers with russet, ochre, and henna tones open in early to late spring, with 7 to 10 blooms per stalk. Rabbits tend to pass it by. Divide the rhizomes every two to three years just after blooming, and plant them at or just below soil level.
Pairs well with Gardenia peony, Western sword fern, and Carlton daffodil.
