Notes

'Fireball' oriental poppy (Papaper orientale 'Fireball') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a clumping mound, tolerates drought, and blooms in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Lady's mantle, Venita Faye iris, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
