Notes

'Flavescens' iris (Iris 'Flavescens') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Fragrant yellow flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Clumps reach 24 to 36 inches tall and spread 36 to 48 inches wide.

Pairs well with Sum and Substance hosta, Lungwort, and Spanish bluebell.
