Notes

'Green Mound' Japanese garden juniper (Juniperus procumbens 'Green Mound') is a shrub for rock gardens, ground cover, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays under 9 inches tall and spreads 48 to 72 inches wide. Growth is slow, so give it room to spread. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Weigela, and Greig's tulip.
