Notes

'Happy New Year' iris (Iris 'Happy New Year') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and has creamy blooms spotted with violet. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer.

Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea, Patriot hosta, and Ernest Markham clematis.
