Notes
'Lagoon' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Lagoon') is a bulb for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Ben van Geest bred it, and it bears dark pink-red blooms on stems 12 to 24 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It is also drought tolerant.
Pairs well with Calla lily, Society garlic, and Lemongrass.
